Guatemala is a country, like many others, with great need. The children need things that some other children take for granted, like shoes, clothes, school supplies, hygiene items and underwear. There are a lot of people still in need in Guatemala, and around the world. I hope others take advantage of the Charity Leave Program and help fulfill the needs of others around the world. Together we can.
What did you learn and enjoy during your experience?
Through my trip to Guatemala, I learned that there are still a lot of people with great need. I enjoyed giving out supplies like clothes, shoes, books, and toys, and preaching the word of God to the people I met. The people there are so humble and made me feel very welcome in their community.
Why would you recommend the Charity Leave Program?
I would recommend the Charity Leave Program because you get the opportunity to help someone who genuinely needs it. The Bible says by helping others you help yourself, so to have this chance to help some of the people of Guatemala was very fulfilling.
